Highland Falls Golf Course

Located in Sun City Summerlin only 20 minutes from Las Vegas Blvd is Highland Falls Golf Club; a local secret tucked away in the northwest valley that we consider a very enjoyable round of golf. This Billy Casper/Greg Nash golf course does not offer the flair and amenities that some of the resort courses do, but for a good, quality round of golf at rates well below that of the "big boys," this one is a good bet.

Measuring 6,512 yards from the back tees, the course is shorter than many in Las Vegas-which makes this the perfect venue for the beginner, immediate, or senior golfer. The fairways are wide and receptive, however many of the holes feature water that comes into play from the tee-box for the "big hitter," and on the approach shot for players who don't quite have the distance from the tees. Highland Falls is predominately played by the seniors who live in Sun City, and the course was designed with that aspect in mind.

The greens at Highland Falls are average size with few undulations, however they can be somewhat quick on a good day. Ample bunkering around the putting surfaces will test your short game, and many holes have water close enough to the green to make one nervous on approach shots; or when trying to get up and down from a greenside bunker.

With annual rates below $100 even on weekends, this facility is one of our most requested courses. Combining great views of Las Vegas, quality golf, and a friendly staff, Highland Falls fits the bill for the player who desires to save his money for the blackjack table.
